Vegas, hit men, mobsters, and a magician?  Sounds like a weekend in Sin City, but it is the basis of Smokin’ Aces.

Buddy “Aces” Israel an illusionist turned informant.  With a $1 million hit out on him, assassins of all walks of life come out to cash in on the bounty out on “Aces”.

This movie is action packed.  Smokin’ Aces is loaded with a cast of memorable characters.  Alicia Keys and Chicago’s own Common make their big screen debuts in roles that you might not have imagined them in!

All of the action leads you to an ending that you don’t want to miss.

I give it 3 King of Spades out of 4!

ALPHA DOG

Alpha Dog is a gripping, mind numbing and stomach churning ride that you find yourself unable to get off. 

The story of youth, gone absurdly astray, is a tale of  "one uppance".   Being "one of the gang" proves to produce irreconcilable differences if not an irrevocable outcomes that will undoubtedly haunt the crew for the rest of their lives. 

Alpha Dog is a genre film of the tragic likes of 'Bad Boys", "Boys Don't Cry" and a "Soldiers Girl".
